Sharf was too busy wondering why no one was on the PTR on our one designated raid night.

Ulduar > Naxx, especially on a designated raid night. We should be praising the WoW Gods that Blizzard had PTR testing to conduct on the same night as our raid night. That's all we talked about since 3 weeks after LK. How we'd be strapped to our chairs, never missing a beat once the PTR hit. I even remember Abe saying something along the lines of "You're fucking stupid if you don't think we'll be on the PTR for Ulduar."
As for last night, I came into Vent right on time, I asked what the agenda was. I was informed we were "starting with 20 man Mally". The way I figured, there were easily 20 people who would want to go, who care about the achievement. I went into Abe's channel where he was apparently afk, I tried talking to him a few times and I put a vent comment that said "Abe let me know when you get back." Lorake came into the channel asking for Abe at one point, he never answered. A little after that I left Vent and continued on the PTR. If you want to place blame on me for not MCing on Raz, do it up. Don't blame the other shadow priest who wasn't in the raid, don't blame the priest who has had many opportunities to learn how the mechanics work but still hasn't, don't blame anyone in Vent who easily could have jumped a channel and asked me to log in and help out. Instead, blame one of the few who are interested enough to get a head start on the new content, get a leg up on new raid make ups and talents, and help us become the best guild on the server. God knows clearing Razuvious for the 20th time won't get us there.

We tried the PTR, and wasted 2 nights of bullshit. Its not worth the time an effort, the content isn't even that difficult from everything I've read and watching videos of the fight. No one is really that upsed that you played on the PTR, they are just giving you the global shit that everyone gets. I was fucking tired as hell for some reason, and slept a ton. I'm pissed because i was spec'd and had elixirs and new food buffs i wanted to try out for tanking.
We're going back to doing achievements before Ulduar next week, if you want to be apart of it sharf then so be it. If you want to play around on the PTR then ok.
If you want to put something together, then I'll go and raid with you, but i'm not going to go through the effort of convincing 25 raiders to download a 600MB patch, wait 20 - 30 minutes in a queue and hope that we can get in a few attempts before we get locked out, a realm restart, or just people pissed off because they cant get addons to work. I've put forth so much time and effort, I just dont have it in me to do that anymore. Maybe if the content was on par with Sunwell or more than 10 - 15 people cared enough to do it with me without crying like bitches.

right now content is a joke, i mean we killed the hardest encounter currently in the game in 3 attempts when we got a proper tank. And if we want to be considered a a top 200 us guild like we were TBC we should at least be checking out the PTR. Achievements arent content, its just filler until ulduar comes out.

geng Wrote:Achievements arent content, its just filler until ulduar comes out. Clearly you haven't kept up to speed with Blizzard's new approach to raiding.
Achievements are content now for guilds like ours. And they will continue to be so. Blizzard has said that they want raids to be available to everyone. And have put Achievement "Hard Modes" in to appease the serious raiders like us.
I have mixed feelings on the issue. On the one hand, it diminishes the uniqueness of end game raiding when everyone's doing it. Not to mention how stupid it feels to be doing something "the hard way" when there's an easier way to do it. On the other hand, the Hard Mode stuff looks to be actually hard and there are better rewards for doing it that way.
In any event, get used to it. Get used to doing Achievements. Because that's what end game raiding is about now. Sure server first kill will net you a nice title. But no one cares anymore. Guilds will be measured by raiding achievements.
