thats how the old diablo economy worked, kinda,
Perfect at 100% of possible price
near perfect 90-50% of possible price
everything else 50%-10%

I remember the difference between a perfect 2soc coa was something like 20-30 runes for a perfect and 2-3 runes for the non perfect.

The diablo economy is pretty interesting

Have you looked at prices lately? 900+ dps 1-handers with even mildly interesting stats are going for tens to hundreds of millions. Rings and Amultes are doing much the same. It's stupid. I've not priced out the shit I have (my 500 estimate is probably high to be fair), but the worth of good gear has grown exponentially over the past couple weeks.

I'm not trying to say it's a good thing because now my shit's worth a lot. I'm saying it a bad thing because suddenly I can't afford anything new. I'm looking at having to spend about 15-20 mill to upgrade any piece of my current pure set (I'm in like half MF/GF right now, I think). And that's for just one piece AND takes into account the selling of the piece it replaces. And my max gold farming anymore is like 200k/hour (and that assumes good drops). I don't know what max is for everyone else, but I can't imagine it being too much higher. I'm looking at a hundred hours play time to replace a single item. That or crossing my fingers and hoping I land and can sell one of those ridiculously high priced pieces.

Also, fuck you, Myndore said my gear was good.

1.0.3 working as intended. Hit up that RMAH, way easier than farming.

Blue post finally on many of the big issues of the last patch. Most of it seems to be exactly what you'd expect (reworded explanations that they already gave). There was one mild surprise though.

Quote:After reviewing all the feedback we received following this change, we'd like to add items back onto breakables as well as allow Magic Find to affect those drops. That said, the issues that motivated those changes still exist, so we want to make sure that when/if we do revise those changes, it doesn't result in us being right back where we started. We don't want players avoiding monsters altogether in favor of farming breakables, and we don't want players feeling like they need to always switch to their Magic Find set before opening Resplendent Chests and other environment objects. I don't have an ETA to share right now for when those changes might be made.
If they make ponies viable again, that'd be nice. Would really love to see a 25-50% reduction on the repair costs but they are seemingly just sticking with the "we'll make it so hitting things is not so expensive, but you're still gonna pay through the nose when you die so no progression content for you".
