Unable to validate game version after updating to 3.1.9767

is this because of the servers still being down, or do I need to reinstall?

Using this download worked perfectly for me. I downloaded the full thing last night, moved it into my patch folder, ran the program and was done. Note that I did the complete patch and not just the final part.

Definitely use the WoW repair tool before you reinstall. That thing fixes the problem for me nine out of ten times when I would otherwise have to reinstall.

I had the other parts already in the patches folder than I just copied the final part over and installed. My game and updater says it's 3.1.9767 but when I try to log in it says it can't validate.

I had the other parts too. But I figured better safe than sorry. You might want to try updating from the whole thing.

no dice, running a full repair

if it still fails ill copy the patches and prepare to reinstall

also the old launcher is being used when I initiate WoW, not the recent 3.0.8 one

Hooray for remote desktop...(in other words, the girlfriend) My shit is all patched and ready to rock when I get home.
