Why we failed at Hodir hard mode by 2 seconds.

Apparently we need to speed this shit up. (Im sure there's at least a couple months left here, but still)

After reading this, tbqh, I would rather skip the hard modes we have already completed (if they are giving us a rough time) and focus on the remaining achievements. Mimiron is going to be a fucking nightmare, but I really don't see the other achievements as being out of our league. Provided we pull our asses out of our heads. I know there is an argument to be made, that if we cant re-complete the hard modes we shouldn't focus on the rest, but I want a new fucking Proto-Drake damnit.

Hard modes give substantially better loot, don't they? If we can (re)complete a hardmode inside of a couple hours or so, I think we should.

The gear will always be there, the drakes wont.

I just don't relish the idea of spending so much time on hard modes we have already completed. It feels like it leads to saying, "just fuck it" and clearing other bosses, easy mode, because we want the night to be over with. To me that seems counterproductive.

Obviously we should be capable of re-completing these achievements and obviously some people still need them. I just don't think the frustration we saw the other night was worth the fallout. When we're wiping on content we have already cleared, it makes tempers flare and leads to an unhealthy, unpleasant raid environment. Not to mention long ass forum posts about failure.

Better loot = Easier time with other bosses though.

I'm not saying we should spend all night on a HM we've already done, but if we can get it down inside of a couple hours, it seems worth it.

I agree.

I think that's probably a much more simplified version of what I'm trying to say. Put in some attempts on the old hard modes and if things aren't going well, don't fret, move on and bang our heads on something we haven't done yet.
