New Classes
Cataclysm doesn't introduce any new classes to the game. Instead, Blizzard have offered more race and classes combinations to players. The Some of these have alreadly been datamined from the 3.2.2 Test Realms. The An Injured Colleague quest and it's new Night Elf counter-part help to introduce the lore for these new race and class combinations, so we can probably expect to see more of these for some of the less traditional ones.

No new classes = failed expansion. Same thing happened to EQ when they introduced AA points instead of levels and classes.

Edit: The other ideas they have seem pretty badass though.

At least they're reforming the early 1-60 bullshit. Plus a new Azeroth means they're going to maybe chuck several of the old server machines for new ones in an effort to get new machines, maybe?

The funny thing is Im actually more hyped about these possible changes to the old world than anything BC or WOTLK has brought to the table. It always irked me that azeroth never felt like a living, breathing place. Throwing in seasonal based content was as close as it ever got to seeing actual changes in the landscape of wow. I don't think I would mind revisiting a lot of this old content as long as blizzard actually does a half decent job of bringing everything up to date.

Only problem I still have... is just how dated the game is. I would bet that by the time we even see this expansion, sw:tor will be out or nearing completion, officially tearing me away from warcraft.

They need to make the Night Elf Mage into a High Elf Mage, it makes more sense.

I bet the Tauren Pally mount will be a holy kodo...lolz
