1. Your age, gender, and time played:
21
Male
18 days on DK, over 300 account-wide
2. List any alts and off specs you have gear for AND CAN PLAY COMPETENTLY (your main should be able to respec and play any spec on the fly):
Frost - I haven't played the spec since Unholy became amazing, so I'm a little out of practice.
I can also play my resto druid, Aereon, competently.
3. Armory links (mandatory):
[recruit loc="us,Scilla"]Keylogger[/recruit]
4. Any WWS or WMO links or other clear indication of your performance in a raid (recommended):
http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-l ... 968&e=1222
This has been my alt, so I don't have many parses.
5. We are a raiding guild and are usually in the top 100 guilds in the US; it is expected you have raiding experience and know ALL encounters and hard modes currently in game! In your opinion, what is the most difficult boss encounter you have ever defeated and why?:
Kil'Jaeden. The fight required a high sense of awareness and specific positioning. The dps checks were tight and everyone had an important role to fulfill.
6. Previous guilds/servers and reason for leaving, also include any references we may contact:
Brethren(Scilla) - The guild was no longer a good fit for me. A handful of disagreements and misunderstandings made me feel like I was more of a burden than an asset to the raid group. I guess, simply put, the guild no longer wished to raid at the level I expected from them.
We Down Bosses(Scilla) - I was in this guild prior to Brethren. We had strong progression until Kael'Thas, where the GM decided to be stubborn and wipe us for 3 months. I left to join Brethren and the guild disbanded a few months later, after killing Kael.
7. It is assumed you will be available from 8-12 ST (Server Time is EST) Tuesday through Thursday, during progression we will raid Sunday and Monday as well starting at 8 ST and ending when all encounters are defeated. If you can’t, please explain why you couldn't make our scheduled raid times (or why you even bothered applying):
I have no issue making these times.
8. Explain what specifically puts you at the top? We raid to be at the top and expect it of all our members. Do you take pride in topping meters, never letting the tank die, never pulling aggro, etc.? What separates you from the rest? Be specific, this will be a major indicator of the kind of player you are:
I come to raids over prepared, pre-pot to maximize my dps, and farm whatever is needed for the encounter (protection potions, resist flasks, etc). I can appreciate other players being critical of my performance, as that is often the best way to improve. I don't often make mistakes, but when I do I learn from them rather than ignore them. I always read up on the latest class changes and theorycrafting to try and maximize my performance in raids. I've only played my death knight on a competitive level since the release of ICC, but I pick up on new things quickly and would like to think I've become pretty good in that short time period.
9. Post a screen shot of your UI or a comprehensive list of mods that you use for raiding. ARE YOU A CLICKER?
Clicking is for bads.
10. If you have thoroughly answered the following questions and you are confident you are what we are looking for, you have a good chance of being trialed, but we'd like to know why you want to join us? What made you choose us over the other guilds out there?
Several reasons... I'm looking to stay on server due to some real life friends that play on Scilla. I enjoyed the ToGC I did with you guys last week as well as the random pug runs I've been to in prior weeks. Also, when Abec took the time to go into the instance with me and discuss Lich King strats a few weeks back, I really felt that it showed a lot of class. It really left a positive impression with me.
Thank you for considering my application.
