I was tempted, but you spared me having to endure his ridicule. And also, Thrall and Grom destroyed Mannoroth before Illidan was even released. Not at all. However, it’s true that I don't put much stock in the lore, namely because I don’t think more than a cursory glazing is all that’s needed to keep the game moving forward. In this case I think Blizzard has gone way overboard with the lore and has done so in a way that completely fucks up their continuity.

Basically there are two problems here. Firstly is that if they’re going to give us a lore driven cut scene as a reward, I should fucking be able to understand what is going on based on in game content alone. Second, is that it seems pretty clear to me that Blizzard is fiddling with, adding to and expanding their lore at such a rate and in such a way that they’re fucking their continuity left and right.

In any event, I wasn’t trolling. Despite not caring a whole lot about the lore, I think it's a shame that the end reward of this expansion is very "meh" for me based on a ton of confusion I have regarding WTF is going on. I was asking questions stemming from a supposed feature of this game that I daresay the vast majority of people who watched it do not understand. Every one of my questions were legitimate things that I don't get. Talith’s answers cleared a little up, but the majority of it still makes no sense to me. And I think it’s a shame that the video loses 90% of it’s coolness factor to me scratching my head and going, “Wait, what?”

I agree with you Alyse, the problem is that they need to adapt some lore for "gameplay" reasons, and then you also have a fuckton of lore in novels that even if Chris Metzen checks he has to give some freedom to authors or they novels would totally suck (the few i've read i've liked, they are not fucking shakespeare, but good for the weekend or the plane) So they end up patching lore left and right.

Definetly should be made so you could get it by only playing and not by checkin every book, post and wowwiki entry every month. (I have yet to read wtf happened in the emerald dream)
