I'm having some electrical problems with my '95 Mazda Millenia and I was hoping you would have some tips on it. The A/C stopped working and my Dad says the compressor isn't turning on due to bad wiring. One of the A/C fan relays melted and we replaced it. We're still not getting the compressor to turn on. Do you know of any schematics online of this shit because the Chiltons book I'm using is near worthless.

Compressors dont turn on if there is not enough pressure in the lines, check the pressure on the high and low pass to see if there is enough. If there is not it wont turn on to prevent damage to itself due to a pressure loss ( aka vacuum was compromised )

Theres enough pressure. Theres a small leak in the line and we have to refill every couple of months.

You still having this problem? I can get a schematic and post it tomorrow at work if you still need it. Does the car bog down when you try to turn on the AC? Reach down with the car NOT running and see if you can turn the compressor by hand. Just the outside part (the clutch) not the pulley where the belt wraps around.

My dad figured out the compressor was busted and hes trying to find a replacement this week. The first one he bought apparently was broken so either its really broken or he doesn't know what hes doing. Either way I can't do anything about it since I'm at college. And driving my mom's Lexus doesn't hurt either.

I got my car back last night from my dad and when I tried starting it this morning the battery was dead. He decided to wire the lead from one of the fan relays straight to the compressor, and it must have kept the clutch on all night and killed the battery.
Get me the schematics for the cooling fan relays, the compressor, and the ECU if you can ethax. The wires on one of those relays melted throughout my engine and I need to tape that shit up. What Chiltons is showing me is that all the relays go to the ECU and I'm guessing the ECU turns on the compressor through a different circuit. So I'll need to make sure the wire from the relay to the ECU is not grounding anywhere.
