I wanted to offer some thoughts on this regarding patch 4.0.1:
We no longer have a 50% MS effect. This increases the damage requirements on Anub by a very large amount. If our players aren't putting out the numbers, we won't kill him. There is, however, a bug that allows for stacking MS buffs. If this bug still exists when we try, this specific problem might not be an issue.
Block mechanics have changed. Solo add tanking on Anub is currently impossible. Add tank damage will be more intense than it was when Anub was current content.
We no longer have passive melee healing via judgment of light and LotP. Extra shadow priests/healing stream totems will be needed to compensate.
Long story short, Anub is the one fight in here that our 264 gear will not provide a significant advantage on. The only part of the fight that might be trivialized is the burrow phase, as we might be able to skip one (or both). Those that have experienced the learning process on this fight know that the burrow phase isn't the hard part -- phase 3 is. We will have to execute phase 3 as well as we would've been expected to prior to ICC (passive healing for all groups, keeping current health for most raiders around 1k, instant and assigned heal-sniping for PC targets, and extremely high dps without a 30% buff). It's not going to be easy in the slightest.
Keep that in mind when recruiting people for this. In all honesty, we probably won't be able to accomplish immortality. Assuming, however, that we get a group together at an acceptable time, I'll still be happy to try.

Anub was also balanced around 245/258 gear for dps. The dps is a joke, even without MS that won't even be a slight issue assuming our dps aren't retarded. We used to do anub for cloaks back in the day in 264/some 277 gear, we didn't even get two add waves in p3.
The main problem here will be add tanking, since we can't stack BV anymore to negate most add damage, eating .25 sec attacks on a 10 stack will kill even a 277 tank in a hurry. The obvious solution is to split them, but it's very hard to correctly position several adds to be within range of AoE, on ice, while not stacking the aura. We could have full dps swap to adds to prevent them from even shadow striking since that is yet another issue in that phase.
I was always the interrupter for shadow strike and I can tell you from experience, it's not possible to interrupt 100% of shadow strikes when all 4 are grouped together. A server lag spike or just the insane amount of combat log data in p3 that raises ping, you need to pre-stun or risk them teleporting while stunned and still killing people, regardless of how early in the cast you got the stun. There's about an 8 second possible window of shadow striking so even if you stun at the timer, they could teleport anyway. It's obnoxious.

The MS changes do increase the DPS requirement more than you might assume. Considering that this isn't a guild run, you do have to take it into account. There are a lot of people having issues with this fight due to the MS change alone. It shouldn't be problematic to a great group, but you can't exactly guarantee that when you're "pugging" people. You know as well as I do that 10-man Tribute to Insanity isn't anywhere near the same thing as 25-man. At best, we can hope that the boss healing amount post 4.0.1 has been greatly exaggerated, because I'm seeing groups that are claiming to have Anub hovering around 15% and not dropping any lower. At the least, it's a consideration that has to be taken seriously.
With enough practice, it's quite easy to position the adds so that they're all in AOE range while not getting extra haste stacks. Of course, I'm a pretty bitchin' tank, so it wasn't very hard on my part  And if you get that positioning down, shadow strike casts are so slow that a single tank could manually interrupt/stun both of the adds he's tanking (if one of my holy wraths ever missed, I had time to Avenger's Shield or Hammer). The trick is to position them on the legs, if I recall. I'd have to watch our kill video to remember.
The biggest issue, though, will likely be healing. If a healer hasn't done heroic 25-man Anub, they're probably not going to be prepared for PC healing. PC healing is going to be the thing that makes or breaks us on Immortality. Well, that and the increased add tank damage.
Either way, this is going to require considerable preparation once we have a group together. We can't just zerg it like we may have been able to pre-4.0.1.

We're almost filled out our slots. I'll post the raid roster and send out invites when I get home from work.
I would like to do a dry run through of regular 25 man before we run the heroic version to assist in an overview for our heroic strats. I'll more then likely need assistance in that department as I'm not the greatest raid leader.
I'm going to do some farming mats for frost protection potions tonight. If anyone has a potion master that would be awesome.
Also someone post something on the realm forums about calendar invites going out tonight as I can't log in from work.

Invites have been sent out for Thursday @ 8PM or Sunday at 6 or 8PM. Would like to get a run in this week for a refresher and then really concentrate for next Thursday as the main attempt.
I do have Mighty Frost Protection potions made for Anub. I'll be doing some fishing to get some feasts made.
Would love to get a hunter/ rogue/ enhance shaman still.

my pug got to anub with 50 attempts left although 2 pple got hit by icehowl charge and half the raid was knocked through the wall and 3 pple were alive at the end of it then drdrew was dpsing on his shittyass warrior and kelwinn was healing (lolz) but determined did gud things and fordelf was there for moral support and accused was some pally i never saw before but he tanked and then furly came on faction champs but we didnt have hero but it was okay and then we wiped on anub twice bc we had like 1 add tank lolz and some pug priest sucks at kiting and jrmakkas was on his druid healing and globally muted on vent then we wiped on anub and then i went to play with my dick try to find the period in this post i like run on sentences
