The TSA official I saw talking about this had the right of it. If there were two planes and one had fully screened passengers and the other just had people who walked through metal detectors, which would you pick to ride yourself?
No sane person can honestly convince me they'd pick the less secure option. So, given that, what possible reason can a person give for not wanting to be screened themselves? The whole thing's been blown WAY out of proportion. On a related note, fucknuts like the viral video guy this clip talks about should be given no credence whatsoever. You go into a place with an aggressive attitude, looking to prove a point and cause trouble then (surprise) end up in trouble and try to pass your experience off as something average people can expect to happen to them? Such bullshit.

There's too many insecure faggots in america. OH NO THEY HAVE A MODEL OF YOUR 2 IN DICK OR YOUR FAKE BOOBS. Who gives a shit. The TSA agents are going to find out anyways when they give you a pat down.

the point is
ITS AN INVASION OF PRIVACY you either consent to a full body scan or are subjected to a fully body pat down I think the next time i go on an airplane im going to draw in sharpie on my leg a large BOMB

I'd prefer to not trade my essential liberty for temporary security, which is in turn just security theater. Instead, read this:
http://www.thestar.com/printarticle/744199 (ISRAEL) Also, it doesn't really matter what individuals on vacation and shit think, considering how often my company puts me on a plane regardless of how I feel about the whole goddamn thing.
Achievements are like the Md after someone's name.

I wish I could find an article I stumbled on a few days ago.
The point of the article was basically: The scanners do very little to actually improve the safety of passengers. The scanners have cost millions and millions of dollars. Some people are getting incredibly, ridiculously wealthy off these machines. Lobbyists are making a killing promoting these pieces of shit. The cost to benefit ratio is so fucking low its laughable. Statistically speaking the money could protect far more individuals from harm if invested into law enforcement, social programs, medicine, etc.

Terahertz emitters and detectors are "incredibly, ridiculously" expensive to produce (its not some conspiracy that each scanner is $1.5 million), and the DoD is spending billions on research every year. Lobbyists aren't making shit.

This may be the article your thinking of Hitshade, but I wholly agree with it. Full Frontal Nudity Doesn’t Make Us Safer: Abolish the TSA.

No qualms with that one whatsoever. jackslammer Wrote:This may be the article your thinking of Hitshade, but I wholly agree with it.
