Hello everyone Zoia from the Starcraft Squad here and I'd like to tell you everything we can about what we will be doing. Starcraft Squad is a new community hoping to try and rally not just the professional Starcraft 2 players but anyone of all skill levels. Let me take a moment to tell you what we plan on doing.
The Website
www.starcraftsquad.net is the home base accompanied by new forum community. Here you will find a link to our forums/youtube/twitter/and facebook. The home page will be used for updates on the starcraft squad involving tournaments, youtube stuff, and other little neat things we will be doing.
The Forum
Not really much I can say about the forum that isn't really self explanatory. Like other SC2 forums it will be used for tournament sign ups, practice partner searching, strategy research, and just good old chatting.
Tournaments
We plan on hosting a prize pool tourney atleast once a month until our community and inflow from other sites is high enough to host them more often. Each tourney will have a prize of about 50 dollars for first place winners. Our first tournament will be held within the next couple of weeks so keep an eye out for that. A good thing to note about the tournament is that people who are regulars to the forum/tournament scene will get priority on joining our tourneys as well as people who preform well (top 8). Each tourney will have room for around 256-512 haven't decided yet depends on how many people sign up.
Youtube
www.youtube.com/starcraftsquad is probably going to be major focus for myself. I commentate games and upload several videos a week plus have several different mini series going on the channel which sets us apart from other sc2 youtubers. Let me take a few moments to explain some of the cool things we do.
User Submitted Replays
The main focus of the youtube channel is to teach players on what to do. The best way to do that is have you the viewers submit replays to our email starcraftsquad@gmail.com of games where you think there is something wrong with your play that can be improved on. I will commentate the game and post in on the channel for the world to see. Whether its for you to learn what you are doing wrong or you are just wanting to get your name out there as a player all replays are welcome and all will be casted.
Scott Putnam Vs The World
My good friend Scott Putnam (Kipp) just now joined the RTS scene. I've have taken him under my wing and I am trying to take the bronze level noob and mold him into a diamond league stud. The interesting thing about this web series is that you will get the chance to watch a player as he improves over time. You will see how it is easy to miss your own advancement in the game since it always feels like you are win/loss trading against people. Check out this series and support Kipp and his climb through the RTS world.
Zoia's Push for 2500+
Just a little series of myself trying to get to the 2500 part of the diamond level bracket.
So yeah this is pretty much what the starcraft squad is about. The main focus right now guys is the Forum and the user submitted videos so please join our forum community and send in those replays. You will be replied to in the email when we are uploading the video. We have already uploaded a few user submitted videos so make sure you check those out as well. If you have any questions please feel free to post them down below or head to our forum and post them there as well. LINKS DOWN BELOW AS WELL
