Crusader Striking for holy power is silly unless we're talking PvP or an immobile encounter that requires heavy use of Light of Dawn with the correct circumstances. If Holy Shock is on cooldown and you are in melee range already it’s a slight gain for AoE healing. Any effort to move into range in order to Crusader Strike makes it negligible and the gain is only if using Light of Dawn to hit enough players and Holy Radiance is being used on cooldown already; single target healing isn't dictated by cooldowns or holy power and therefore the GCD to Crusader Strike is never worth it as far as Word of Glory. If Holy Paladins ever need to rely on Crusader Strike I can guarantee that there will be a cooldown added to Light of Dawn. You can simulate Crusader Strike with Light of Dawn all you want and you'll find a single digit percentage gain in HPS and only in a few encounters with favorable conditions including players in a cone formation with the boss and the Paladin being the apex.

The problem here is that I'm still the only one here that heals while hitting a boss, I can see how using CS means squat to Alyse and Jack.

I can tell you that doing a CS->shock->CS combo will get you 3 HP within a 5 second window, and then you can throw your WoG or LoD.

Jack, Alyse and Zsig look all too eager to compare the decision of using shock VS strike when the decision NEVER comes to that, Holy shock's CD is long enough to do stuff in between, so the REAL decision is "WTF do you do between Shocks" and it all comes down to what is happening in that moment, If ppl are taking damage you probably will go to Divine Light, but if at that moment damage intake is not that big then what are you doing?? HL?? Sure its like free healing, but under a cast time I rather fit CS strikes there to increase my HP generation speed and since I,m hitting stuff getting more mana back with my seal. I might add also that I think healing theorycrafting is really just a nice discussion about minor facts since Healing does not benefit from it as much as dps benefits from correct theorycrafting.

During all WotLK you could see numbers in logs that proved that my healing style generated more mana with less risk (I would get the same mana back as jack or alyse but with only 1 plea against their 3 or even 4 pleas during fights), however, the recent changes to Divine Plea and with the way damage is now dealt to tanks the risk of using DP at the wrong time has been reduced a lot, but we also now have to actually worry about mana so any regen you can squeeze by something as simple as this is a plus in my book.

The point I made Jack, is that using CS is a throughput loss, but as you have said yourself, it has times where it is useful. As Talith implied, theorycrafting throughput as a healer is less useful than a dps because healing isn't about spamming as much hps as you can. My inital comment to Alyse was what I call a "lawler" (Hitshade's a master at it too) in that it was meant to Troll and piss people off but also hid a valid point somewhere beneath all the bullshit.
