4. None available – The last "real" raid I ran was with Virtue in BoT, but if you want to go on hearsay, I topped dps as the only PUG on both the fights we did.

Destiny Cries: There was a distinct lack of leadership and direction – After taking a break as an officer and from the game to focus on my studies for 2 months, I came back to find that no progress had been made whatsoever. There were new officers, and the old fellow officer had been promoted to 2nd in command yet nothing had been accomplished. But while officer I helped organize raids, and get other members geared for raids.

It is assumed you will be available from 8-12 ST (Server Time is EST) Tuesday and Wednesday, during progression we will raid Sunday and/or Monday as well starting at 8 ST and ending when all encounters are defeated, if you can’t make these times please explain why you couldn't make our scheduled raid times (or why you even bothered applying): I can make all these times

You also must have a decent computer, decent Internet connection, and not have any lag/FPS issues. We also use Ventrilo during raids and speak English, it is necessary that you use Vent and a microphone, and be able to effectively communicate during raids.

If you have thoroughly answered the following questions and you are confident you are what we are looking for, you have a good chance of being trialed, but we'd like to know why you want to join us? What made you choose us over the other guilds out there? I applied to WLPH after doing heroic runs with members in the past and after looking at the forums, the goals and purpose seemed pretty well aligned with my own. While I do enjoy raiding and being in a guild that is still relaxed and sociable, I dislike environments that are too strict, mostly because I feel the responsibility should be on the raider, and not on the officers to baby people around.

Fix your hit, you're at 8.25% which is over cap and it's easy to get it within like .1 via reforging

You're 2/12 and we're working on Hard Modes.

As pointed out, you're about 100 points over Hit cap. This is made worse by the fact that you have reforged 315 points INTO Hit - which means you have no idea at all what you're doing in regards to this stat. To make matters even worse, you've reforged 121 points OUT of Hit at the same time (you've also reforged INTO and OUT OF Crit and Mastery as well), which can only mean that you have no idea how to properly use the reforging system. I don't know a ton about Hunters, but I also question your reforge decisions on a class level - outside of just the sheer stupidity of reforging out of stats that you later reforge in to.

You've also apped to a guild without being fully enchanted and while still sporting two pieces of PvP gear. While not as bad as your guildmate, this still shows a distinct lack of caring on your part. It's akin to showing up to a job interview in jeans and a t-shirt.

Your lack of experience and your issues with Hit/Reforging make it a 'no' for our main raid. The lack of experience (and subsequent crappy gear) is something we can deal with. But these issues with basics like Hit and Reforging show a significant lack of understanding regarding your class and core mechanics. Dependant on your attitude, I would not mind trying you out, gearing you up and getting you experience through our alt raids. That's really as far as I think we can go with you until you can somehow prove yourself a decent raider.

I was planning on reforging some of my hit away after getting the all the new agility mail pieces from the new heroics within a day or two of each other, but hadn't gotten around to it since it wasn't an absolute necessity (hey, I'm not raiding seriously yet). I play around a lot with my reforging so that my hit is as close to 8.00% as possible without going under. As for the pieces of pvp gear: they far outgear anything I can currently get in terms of what I have available to me to run, even accounting for the agility. These will obviously be replaced as I gain more access to raid-level gear.

I do realize that these weigh heavily against me, but I'm sure you can understand that there's no need for me to stress over min-maxing just yet.

As for being inexperienced in Cataclysm raids, yes I'm very far behind (I took a break after hitting ilvl 352) to focus on school until the end of the semester (now). The same thing happened last year or the year before between Ulduar and ToC, but it wasn't long before I was on the same footing and understanding of fights as the rest of my guildmates. When it comes to raiding I generally learn very quickly what my role is in each fight, and perform it well. I'll take care of the issues the both of you mentioned at my next opportunity (when finals end tomorrow evening), and I look forward to showing you what I can do.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn is appreciated. Fix the issues, get some experience and I'm sure we'd be more than happy to let you try again. We actually are in need of a raiding Hunter. Of ours, one has huge tits that get in the way all the time and the other is a girl.
