I was kinda surprised when I read the Blue. "Sorry, too busy" seems like a really odd excuse. If they have a shit ton of stuff in the pipe, that seems like all the MORE reason to have the BlizzCon venue to show it off.

They did BlizzCon in October this year, right? I think that the SC2 xpac, MoP, and D3 will all be out by then and they won't really have any new big stuff to announce.

Good point. Though... I've read a few websites (the link Abe posted hints at this too) reporting that there have been some major delays with D3 that might push it back from a release date in the first half of the year into the last half. Maybe they just don't want to deal with all the pissed off people.

Their senior lead designer for D3 either got fired or quit a few weeks ago after they did a bunch of major changes. If enough shit hits the fan D3 might become the next duke nukem forever.

nah, duke nukem had like 12 game engines, D3 already looked fairly completed.

There was a point in 1999 where duke nukem was essentially ready to ship, but then their dev went under.
