The application was a little incomplete and I never really got a chance to check out your gear but green gems = automatic deny. I jumped into this thread late but this bickering about unspecific technicalities of the class are really unnecessary. Firstly EJ's pally guides for all specs are trash for 3.0; I'm offended they are even mentioned in this thread. Secondly min/maxing and theory crafting is so unnecessary for everything currently in the game nobody is proving anything from current experience. Thirdly I always welcome discussion and agree with a lot of what Lightsvirgin expressed in this post as well as some of Firecrest's commentary.

All pre bc minus full clear naxx. All TBc up to muru then stoped playing for a while. All wotlk minus 3D

This is concerning because content is so retardly easy right now that there is no excuse for not having everything cleared at this point.

I love to heal if i want to dps i will use my other toons for that my pally is my favorite toon and i only want to heal on it. I believe healing is the most important job in the game and take pride in being good at it. Been playing wow a looong time for me not to be good. No offense to the people who have and aren't.

I do expect any paladin who plans to raid to be proficient with every spec, take offspec gear any chance they can, and use the best enchants, gems, consumables, etc. for their respective gear sets. I also admire that you’ve played so long take pride in your healing role.

My choice of gems arent bad if you are speaking in regards of geming all int i dont agree with it as well as alot of other pallies. There are alot of ways to maximize your hps and mana efficiency. This int debate can go on forever only way to prove it bad would to look at performence of said choices. My choice of gems do not scream i fol spam as you would see in my wws report.

Itemization is important, and I see nothing wrong with gemming all intellect, critical rating, haste rating, spell power, or a combination of any of those. There is a widespread belief that intellect is the de facto stat for paladins, this I do disagree with. Intellect is a great stat to stack; it just isn’t the de facto stat as many paladins believe it is.

As far as mods i use recount pp wow raid ui and dbm. If you think my mods or my gems or any of my gear choices are bad dont inv me to guild but instead inv me to your raid with your best pally and see how i stack

I’ll take up the challenge any day, since I know how to get behind ice blocks and know where my HL button is. I also don’t care what mods people use for the most part (with the exception of pally power and the most recent healcomm library) as long as it gets the job done.

Nothing i logged out in at the time is second rate including the libram. What good is the badge libram on trash? or Kt? on most boss fights in fact whenever you arent spaming HL? What kind of pally runs with just one libram? But i do understand what you say about wanting to see libram of renewal. It's a good libram. Yes i do have it. In fact i have a couple 226 items i dont wear. Saving for the silly mount encounter in Ulduar.

I use the FoL libram for trash and certain fights, but for the few healing intensive encounters currently in game the HL libram is leagues above the FoL libram, having both and knowing when to switch them is a good sign. I too can't stand how many of the 226 items are so poorly itemized and have some only for certain scenarios, such as Living Ice Crystals for ice tombs on KT. Unfortunately it appears we are getting more of the same with Ulduar, along with some horrible set bonuses, so looks like we'll be stashing even more gear.

Overall what I've taken from this thread is that you know your class decently, however I don't see a holy paladin spot available currently; even if there was a holy paladin spot available I'd need you to have equally geared ret and prot sets as well since you'd be switching specs often. I do appreciate your apping to WLPH and look forward to doing some raids and having some paladin mechanics discussions down the road, who know maybe one day we'll be desperate for a holy paladin.

You're posting a log of a bunch of MALYGOS attempts back when you had CIRCLE OF HEALING and showing that as how good you are?

Wow...

Not only did you have what was quite possibly the most OP healing spell ever put in this game, but you had it on a fight that was practically designed to abuse the hell out of it. And with a bunch of attempts where we never even got out of P1 and into a phase where I could heal more than once every six seconds...

...and you beat me out by a measley 3%. Wow. Go you.
