Frost Nova (Cold Snap), Diamond Skin (Crystal Shell), Energy Armor (Energy Tap), Hydra (Arcane), Arcane Orb (Obliteration), Shock Pulse (Piercing Orb). I Use Venom Hydra for everything but bosses, which is what i use Arcane Hydra for. I have used the used the Force Armor rune for Energy Armor depending on the situation. Teleport with Fracture rune also seems really good for bosses since it places 2 clones after you use it. Astral Presence, Blur, and when you are able to get it Galvanizing Ward.

Glass Cannon

I personally want to try a full on glass cannon build. Taking every possible +dmg % ability/rune/passive, and skills that will maximize that damage for aoe or single target.

Basically I use magic missle and astral presence to stay high on arcane power and trigger arcane dynamo, and arcane torrent and slow time to set up huge burst with energy twister. Glass cannon, familiar, and magic weapon all provide big flat damage % bonuses. When everything goes off (every 20 seconds or so) my twister is hitting for 1109% weapon damage, the biggest nuke I've found that's not on a long cooldown. It's also over 6 seconds, and I can probably get 2-3 off per slow time for some ridiculous damage. It might play out terrible, but I damn sure am going to try it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on the math, but the runed twister does 468% flat, plus 137% bonus from everything.

This AOE Tempest build looks pretty good, and the guy wrote a good explanation for his choices on everything. It looks solid for both leveling and inferno.

Full Frost

0 cost ray of frost for single target and waiting on regen, frost nova/slow time into blizzard and comet, and ice armor and cold blooded for even more synergy with everything.

Uses critical mass to keep up diamond skin and frost nova as much as possible, should be great in an AOE group.

Twister Spam

Fast Arcane regen to constantly spam twister, which looks to be a huge aoe nuke.

When an item says "each hit adds 6 life" what does that mean? Do I gain 6 life every time my char attacks or do I get 6 life each time my char is hit? Or something else?
