With the recent departure of styxix and the infamous readycheck a week ago, we have decided to change the way we raid. Due to the lack of progression of where we want to be and where we are currently, we have determined its time to start adjusting the people that we bring to raid. We have always tried to achieve a stable balance between quality and quantity, this is not changing, neither is our raiding schedule to adjust for stupidity, bads, and inability. The simplistic definition of what we need is players that can raid the full duration of our raid night, put forth maximum effort with minimal amounts of guidance, and the ability to pull off multiple specs for all applicable classes.

What this means to current members is get your shit in line or get replaced. Its not an ultimatum, its not me being an asshole, its WLPH trying to fix problems of having to carry 2-5 players per raid because of lack of knowledge, player skill, or just general ineptitude. I don't like yelling at people because they don't watch a video on a fight or read over the strat 2 weeks after the content has been released. I can't play all aspects of a fight to see where we are failing in other portions of our raid, this kind of stuff has to be worked out on the individual as well as your applicable area of expertise ( ie. ranged dps, melee, healers, tanks, etc... )

I don't like being where we are at and I'm sure none of you guys do either, I was ok with us killing Yogg the second week it was out, but we did not accomplish this and now its time to resolve the issue. Tonight we are doing a full clear sans yogg, razorscale, council, and ignis. We will be killing Yogg this week without a shadow of a doubt and then will go back and get started on the hardmodes that we need to get done. We're not going to sit in the spot we are at in realm progression any longer for we are the guild thats in all caps and one lower case and it is up to us and our holier than thou attitudes to set a higher bar for the rest of the world! Its time to increase the particle destiny and call the cops on the bads, wake up and smell the fresh baked bread in Ironforge and become winners, not a bunch of burlocks.

Abe I vow to start gearing Shar in Naxx25 for a discipline spec as time allows. I have been training as Discipline in 10 mans and heroics so that I can finally get in some practice. Like I have said, I really have never played as a healer in any sort of raid setting and it's totally new to me. Learning how in Ulduar 25 isn't ideal, so I'm taking the steps to correct it so I can be viable down the road. Unfortunately my work schedule is staying the same, so I will continue to miss random raid nights on occasion as well as potentially be ~20 minutes late on some nights (like tomorrow for example). I know this is not ideal and isn't really what you are looking for as far as core raiders go, and I understand that. You do what you need to do in order for WLPH to be successful. I back this new approach to raiding 100%.

In all seriousness though, wlph may be the victim of its own hijinks. Our applicants and recruits have been less than stellar lately. (not all of them, but a good number) I cant help but wonder if it would be different, without having a massive collection of retards taking the guild's "lightheartedness" to new levels of idiocy.

Luckily for you, you're a caliber player sharf, you show up and do what you need to do. We have a 2 shadow priests that I depend on and you guys are reliable enough. I'm currently having a problem with no applicable tank when I need one, a backup restomental shaman ( i want lawler to fill this role ), and a rogue. Thats the shit off the top of my head, it doesnt help one of our mages is in jail, another doesnt like us anymore, one spilled a big gulp in his computer and god knows about the rest.

We've never had good luck with applicants from our site ( some but the bad far outweigh the good ), our best results have come from finding people that enjoy our style of raiding from pugs and heroics. Friends ranks don't bother me, and I could careless if people cry over us recording them on vent or make fun of them in trade, but yeah some people defiantly dont belong here, but tbqh, our undercard raiders that hang out and shit, make the game less boring when were not raiding. I miss Talyse.

I don't disagree with that at all. Its nice to have a selection of decent friend rank players to shoot the shit and run groups with. There are plenty of good players that just dont have the time or interest to raid. I don't seriously want them gone. A guild comprised of only raiders and their alts would just be downright depressing.

A little housecleaning wouldn't hurt, is all I'm really getting at. 8-)
