What would people think about doing away with the "per boss kill" portion of raid DKP awards and going to a full Timed Awards only method? This would eliminate the problems we have when a lot of content is on farm and Tuesdays are the only day any real DKP is given out.
The boss kill DKP made sense in BC when we were restructuring the raid after every fight, but I'm not so sure it's relevant anymore.

Perhaps you could give additional dkp for progression kills in addition to timed rewards. That would give more incentive to killing a new boss.
I wrote this post during alyses last post, but it still applies.
How about giving wl the full amount of dkp but do it per hour? Clear the list every hour too so people who don't get back on their accounts get only a fraction of the dkp for the night. This would allow people who want to leave for awhile to take a smaller penalty and it would give the raid a better idea of who is still available.
Loot council is better for raid effectiveness, but most people bitch about it because they are greedy. DKP hurts progress because theres always a couple of faggots passing on upgrades so they can get a trinket a month (or more) later. Both systems are flawed and it should be up to the guild as a whole to decide which one they want.

I didn't read most of the replies after mine and I don't even play anymore so my opinion is pretty much unimportant, but:
When I was raiding in BT/Sunwell, I sat a ton of times because we had 4+ raiding Mages. I was online every night, was sitting in vent, and ready to join given the invite. By doing this, I lost out several pieces of loot given to other players who either wouldn't sit out or were a more necessary class. (See: Warlock)
It's nothing to bitch about at the end of the day, but it was a little frustrating for me to let someone else have a night of raiding while basically deep dicking myself out of gear that I had put the time into earning.

If we do loot council i better have a spot
i am the only person in this guild i can remember who even passed a major upgrade to someone else because their current item was a ton worse then mine.
also
im more inclined to just split up and focus on 10m instead of making 25m the main priority.
10m give the same loot, with every one having multiple alts should be retarded-ly easy to fill
