The entire raid is just taking excessive spell damage, cut out the damage on mind controlled players, learn to use cooldowns and survive, avoid avoidable damage, hop lava quicker, etc. and we got this.

as far as non-electrocute-related tank gibs go, (and speaking only as the guy that heals nef tank), when your healers are able to heal consistently, the dragon tanks can just sit there doing almost nothing and can't possibly die (i think p1 nef tank is solo healable but it would be mana draining). but if they are unable to heal and a breath happens, then the tank is fucked unless he uses a cd of some kind.

This is another good point. I try to yell out tank CDs sometimes, but I'm not always quick enough. Plus vent lag, yadda yadda. It hasn't been too much of a problem, so I really really don't want to make a big deal of it. But it's worth pointing out... If you have Ony turned and there's a Crackle, you need to have a big CD. If you have Ony turned and there's a breath, it would be helpfull(but not mandatory) to use a small CD.

Agree with jack. We're really close. I feel that we more or less have P1 down. We just need to work on our P2. A half dozen or so clean entries into P3 and we've got it.

I've said it before. When Tail Swipe and Crackle come that close together we will die if left on our own. The nature resist doesn't reach that far and if we don't have bubbles, we're fucked.

This is a good question. I'm not entirely sure. It seems like at least one of the two (Disc or Shaman) over there would be helpful. Both may be overkill.

idk.. that's how I read it. Just a little humor while highlighting the bigger picture of how to deal with swipe / electrocute, as it has been a problem.

I'm not going to say to a huge fat person "wow fatty, want another cupcake?" .. but I'll surely say that to a skinny friend who is comfortable with their weight.

The Human Racial thing was a joke born of my desire to be an asshat to Alyse. I was also going to mention that he should have Crusader Striked for that extra holy power to wog himself in that half second after he used his racial.

As I said in the first sentence of this thread, this is not meant to be an insult to people, even though it appears people take it that way, but simply to spark a discussion on what can be done to avoid these. Thank god Plare actually got that message and brought up a valid point. I asked one of the shamans to drop their totems by Ony and Blackup had agreed to do it. He wasn't there last night and that's my failure to remember to address that.

I said at the start Myndor I was filtering deaths. I only included you killing Mia and Rego killing you because I thought they were funny, yours for the trinket proc and his for the 1 shot.

Jack brought up a point that people seem to still be missing. I specced out of 3% elemental damage for 12% spell damage reduction, as well as picking up Seasoned Winds which only use is if I get Cinders. If you have a way to reduce your damage through talents or glyphs, do it even if it lowers your damage by 3% haste or some similar talent. The damage done to MCed people needs to chill, and people who are mced need to recognize if they need to break it early to survive. This will be particularly true p3 where you may path into a really shitty spot.


In short, people just need some forsight. Alyse, Tail Swipe has a cd and a timer, and you can see what Nef's hp is at. I'm sure the healers can figure out some way via shields or w/e to make it so you don't die when the tail swipe/crackle combo happens. Just using that as an example, but this fight is really, really easy to anticipate the incoming damage in those phases.

We should have a cooldown for every crackle. Divine Protection's 40% spell reduction is on a 40s cooldown and the Tol Barad resistance trinket is on a 60s cooldown. It is entirely possible to survive every crackle even if tail swipe coincides with it if left on our own with Divine Protection, Every Man for Himself, and Tol Barad trinket.

I will have Blackup or Savelli heal with Alyse or I on that side from now on anyhow, just to be safe.

Exactly! Nefarian is a survival fight, until you have every talent, glyph, ability, trinket, etc. to reduce spell damage and you effectively use them, don't blame healers or mechanics.

Also thank you Furly for spending time to make this thread, even if it includes shit after we've call a wipe and isn't complete, it gets the point across and opens discussion.
