I've gone and bought a 40lb dumbbell set and going to grab a bench and a bar here soon... whats some good proper workout routines someone can chuck me a link to or give me some info...

the best exercises for what you were wanting ( an pretty much everyone ), are full body lifts. squats, deadlift, presses, anything that uses a large amount of muscle groups.

how do you do full body lifts like squats, deadlifts, presses, and anything that uses a large amount of muscle groups with dumbbells?

They're the same motions as with barbells...just less weight.
