I clean the computer fairly frequently, and last cleaned it about 2 weeks prior to this. I took the hdd to a friends to back everything up, and when we try to boot windows from it, theres the same problem, so its safe to say the motherboard isnt the problem. Looks like I need to format

Could part of the hdd is damaged? When trying to recover, I can't go into folders where most of the stuff that I wanted is, so perhaps one of the disks is damaged, if thats possible.

Well, obv it's the hard drive or a corrupted installation of Windows. Reformat. If you cant, then replace the hard drive. They're like $50.

Why has no one asked the stop codes on the blue screen..
Mash F5 when booting, and when you get to a place where you pick shit, select 'disable restart on system failure' or whateverthefuckitis.
Then write down wtf it says.

what does it mean by clean your computer every 2 weeks? do people normally do that? my computer has a thick layer of plain dust except for around the power button i think, and i can't think of what's there to clean unless you regularly throw pizzas at it or something

condensation? do you put ice blocks on your tower or something? or do you live in a beach front house where the waves rush in through the open window? (ok one time i had my window open and the rain was coming in sideways well into my room)
or do you put your pop cans on your computer?
i'd never put anything wet on my computer. actually i don't put anything on my computer other than more computer-ish equipment. maybe that's why it doesn't get dirty. getting food and drinks spilled on it ought to be reserved for keyboards and mice
