And most of the time someone will say if it's just a minor upgrade, i'm just bringing up possibilities that may/will arise so that a discussion can occur before the item physically drops. Personally i havn't looked at any of the loot lists for naxx, so i don't know if there are any strange upgrades/sidegrades that occurred like in BT

What is this, Kindergarten? Besides how that would pretty much double the workload for monitoring DKP, we shouldn't have to turn to such measures.

If an item is an upgrade for you - roll on it. Shit like Avanne's Memento is not gonna fly any more. Like Jack said - he and Abe and I can't possibly know all the nuances of all the classes. So we will be relying on the Class Leads to let us know if someone's being stupid. Hopefully it won't be an issue but don't be surprised to see forced loot or a lack of raid invites if your gear lags behind everyone else because you're hoarding DKP.

Sidegrades and minor upgrades are a different matter. It's kind of a shitty way of having to do it but "officer discretion" is the best way we know how to handle these things. If so-and-so got X for reduced dkp and you think you should get Y at a reduced cost, bring it up to Jack or I after the raid. But if you're going to emo out if we tell you that we're deciding to still charge you full cost - you might as well just leave the guild now and save us the headache.

Our system is easily one of the best I've ever seen and Jack does a great job managing it. It's not perfect though so we have to do the best we can with what we've got. As always, if you ever have a problem - see an officer.

I found the 0.395 coefficient yielded a mean of 100 DKP which felt about right for starting out WotLK but could change before December 2nd.
